2. Summary
MouseCross does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
- No internet connection is required or established
- No telemetry, analytics, or crash reporting
- No account or registration required
- No third-party SDKs or tracking libraries
3. Data Stored Locally
MouseCross stores your settings locally on your device only:
Windows: Settings are stored in the Windows Registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MouseCross. This data never leaves your device.
macOS: Settings are stored using macOS UserDefaults (app container). This data never leaves your device and is not synced to iCloud.
The following settings are stored:
- Crosshair appearance (color, opacity, size, thickness)
- Behavior settings (hotkey, auto-start, direction arrows)
- Window position preferences
This data is stored solely to restore your preferences between sessions. It can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the application or resetting settings via the app.
4. Accessibility Permissions
macOS only: MouseCross requests Accessibility permission to register a global hotkey and detect the double-Ctrl gesture for “Find My Mouse.” This permission is managed by macOS and can be revoked at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. No data from this permission is collected or transmitted.
Windows: No elevated permissions are required.
5. No Network Access
MouseCross has no network access and establishes no internet connections. There are no update checks, license validations, or remote features of any kind.
6. Your Rights
Since MouseCross does not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions, contact admin@slohmaier.com.
7. Changes to This Policy
Any material changes to this policy will be noted on the MouseCross product page at slohmaier.com/products/mousecross.
