Refund Policy
Last updated: 25 September 2026
1. Statutory right of withdrawal
Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal. The details are set out in the Right of Withdrawal. This Refund Policy does not replace the right of withdrawal and does not restrict it.
For digital content, the right of withdrawal expires when the Provider has begun performance, that is, has provided the download and/or the licence key, and the customer has expressly consented to this.
2. Statutory warranty
If the software is defective, the customer has the statutory warranty rights under Section 11 of the Terms and Conditions. The Provider remedies defects primarily by repair or by providing a defect-free version.
If subsequent performance does not succeed, the customer may, under the statutory provisions, withdraw from the contract and demand a refund.
3. Goodwill policy
Irrespective of the claims above, the Provider offers a goodwill policy. Under it, a refund may be granted if
- the software is unusable on the customer’s intended system despite a comprehensible description of the defect and the Provider cannot fix the defect within a reasonable period, or
- the software was first purchased within 30 days and the customer cannot use it as described.
The goodwill policy is a voluntary benefit. There is no entitlement to goodwill. The Provider decides after reviewing the individual case.
4. Excluded from refunds
A refund is as a rule excluded if
- the customer has breached the licence terms, in particular by passing on the licence key or reproducing it without authorisation,
- the defect is due to an unsupported system environment that does not meet the requirements stated on the product page,
- the defect results from the customer’s interference with the software or from third-party software, or
- the customer ends use solely because they have decided in favour of a different product.
5. Subscriptions
An ongoing subscription can be cancelled under Section 9 of the Terms and Conditions. Cancellation ends the right of use at the end of the current billing period; amounts already paid for the current period are not refunded pro rata unless a statutory claim or a case under Section 3 applies.
If a subscription is withdrawn from within 14 days of the initial conclusion and the Provider has not yet performed, the refund is made in full.
6. Scope of the refund
The purchase price paid by the customer is refunded. Costs incurred by the customer through their own system environment or through third parties are not refunded.
The refund is made via the payment service provider using the original means of payment. The Provider initiates the refund without undue delay, at the latest within 14 days of approval.
7. How to apply
Send your request to support@slohmaier.com and state:
- the order or licence number,
- the product concerned,
- the operating system and version,
- a description of the problem and, where possible, the steps that reproduce it.
The Provider reviews the request and responds within 14 days.
8. Payment service provider as seller
Payment is processed by a payment service provider acting as Merchant of Record. Requests can therefore also be made directly through the payment service provider; the link is in the order confirmation. The Provider cooperates with the payment service provider on refunds.
